First Tutorial Workshop in Immunology

"Natural Immunity and Cancer"

Prague, Czech Republic, April 12-13, 2010

Invitation

Dear Colleagues,

I would like to invite you, students and young scientists, to attend and participate in the first tutorial workshop in immunology on natural immunity and cancer.

With the rediscovered role of inflammation as an important immunological factor for carcinogenesis, cancer development and progression, the study of cancer immunity is in continuous evolution and it is opening up new avenues both for research and immunotherapy.

An international panel of top scientists in a specific field will take part in this workshop, giving the occasion for a debate, reviews and a useful updates on this topic.

I sincerely hope that such a unique occasion to meet, listen to, and discuss with the important invited speakers, for the first time all together in Prague, will stimulate young researchers, as well as everyone interested in the field to attend.

The program includes a first day of lectures, and a second day in part devoted to selected presentations by students/young scientists, followed by a general and interactive discussion between the experts and the young researchers about chosen topics of relevant interest emerged during the two days of presentations.

I believe that the future and the life of science can be sustained allowing scientific knowledge, passion and human feelings be shared between generations of researchers. This can stimulate and inspire our young scientists to better develop and progress for the welfare of our society. This is a message of vitality and hope that I like to address, together with the Institute of Microbiology and Czech Immunological Society, to every one of you.

Looking forward to meeting you at the workshop!

Very cordially,

Dr. Luca Vannucci, M.D., Ph.D.
