The European Union has defined three categories of potential participants. Please indicate which definition will apply to you at the time of the school by checking one category:




 Early stage researchers – researchers in the first 4 years of research activity, including research training, starting from when they receive the degree giving them access to doctoral studies. These researchers do NOT have a doctoral degree yet.



 Experienced researchers – researchers with at least 4 years of research experience, starting from when they receive the degree giving them access to doctoral studies, OR researchers with a doctoral degree, regardless of the time required to obtain it.



 Experienced researchers with more than 10 years experience – the same as the previous definition but with at least 10 years of research experience, starting from when they receive the degree giving them access to doctoral studies.
