Dr García-Fraile received her Degree in Environmental Sciences in 2003 at the University of Salamanca (Spain). At the same university, she presented her PhD theses in 2008 and got her Degree in Agricultural Engineering Technology in 2009.
During 2010-2012 she was postdoctoral fellow at the John Innes Centre (United Kingdom) and at the moment she has a postdoctoral position in the Academy of Science of the Czech Republic.
She has undertaken a series of investigations which would form the basis of her interest in the study of microbial-plant/microbial-insect-plant interactions. She is specialist in bacterial endophytes taxonomy and ecology and the interaction of bacteria with plants and insects.
She has collaborated as author of 23 scientific articles in Journals with Impact factor, 6 book chapters, 2 articles in Journals without Impact Factor, 3 articles in and 5 proceedings in books. She has participated as researcher in 11 R+D projects and is coauthor of 1 patent. She attended several national and international scientific congresses, presenting 44 posters and 4 oral communications. She has also given lectures and participated in the direction/organization of 4 courses at the University of Salamanca (Spain) related with soil microorganisms and it relation with plant promotion. Her experience in microbiology teaching also includes 270 hours as a teacher of practical classes and the supervision of 2 master theses.
