Education & Career
Master degree in the field of environmental chemistry was received in 2008 at the Faculty of Science, Charles University in Prague. The graduation thesis dealt with determination of residual antibiotics in surface water using UHPLC-DAD and off-line MS detection techniques. At present, I am the PhD student in the field of analytical chemistry at the same faculty. Since 2005, I have been at the Institute of Microbiology of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic in the Laboratory of Genetics, Physiology and Bioengineering of Fungi. I continue working on determination of residual antibiotics of different groups in surface and waste waters and I participate on project dealing with determination of secondary metabolites in fermentation broth of fungi of the genus Geosmithia.
Research interest:
Determination of residual antibiotics in different matrices (water, soil, and manure), determination of secondary metabolites of fungi (Geosmithia spp.) presented in fermentation broth, determination of ergot alkaloids in different matrix (sklerocia, flour).
Development, validation, and application of analytical methods.
Techniques and methods: chromatographic techniques - high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) and ultra high-performance liquid chromatography (UHPLC) with MS, UV (DAD), FLD detection; extraction methods - solid phase, liquid-liquid.
