XXXVIIth Convention of Czech and Slovak Allergologists and Clinical Immunologists (ČSAKI/SSAKI) and the simultaneous XVIth Congress of Czech and Slovak Immunologists (ČIS/SIMS)

The major domestic event for Czech and Slovak immunologists will be held on October 7–10, 2020. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the congresses will be only organised as a virtual meeting on-line (see the recent press release).

IUIS Newsletter

The International Union of Immunological Societies (IUIS) published the 27th issue of its Newsletter in April 2020 that is attended specifically to the 2019–20 coronavirus pandemic. The latest version of the document is on this address. The version originally distributed lacked this information: "Research scientists working on different aspects of Covid-19 can participate by submitting abstracts for Webinar and for IUIS/Frontiers Covid-19 Research Topic."

Immunotherapy for Infectious Diseases Conference (IIDC 2020)

This year's Conference entitled Novel Ways to Fight Pathogens should have taken place at Stresa, a famous tourist resort on the lakefront of Lago Maggiore in Piemont, Italy on March 30 to April 1, 2020. Due to the outbreak of Covid-19 in Italy, the Conference is postponed to October around 5–7, 2020.
It will be aimed at the following topics:
  • Antibody-based drug development
  • Nanomedicine against infectious diseases
  • Immunotherapy against viral infections
  • Immunotherapy against bacterial infections
  • Immunotherapy against emerging infectious diseases
  • Production and regulatory challenges
  • The 3Rs principles in biotechnological and medical applications

Tatra Immunology Conference 2020

14th EFIS-EJI Tatra Immunology Conference was scheduled to September 19–23, 2020 in the Patria Hotel on the lake Štrbské Pleso in the Slovak Republic. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic it has been cancelled. Further information can be found on the web pages of the Conference.

World Immune Regulation Meeting XIV (WIRM-XIV)

The meeting was originally planned to March 2020. Because of the SARS-CoV-2 restrictions, it ran online in Davos, Switzerland on October 4 – 7, 2020. Registrations are still possible to the end of this year and congress materials are available for the registered participants on the web pages of WIRM-XIV.

19th Biennial Meeting of the European Society of Immunodeficiencies (ESID 2020) – Online Meeting

The 6th European Congress of Immunology (ECI 2021)

European Federation of Immunological Societies (EFIS), the Turkish Society of Immunology (TSI) and Immunological Society of Serbia (ISOS) organise the 6th European Congress of Immunology which will take place at Sava Center in Belgrade, Serbia on September 1–4, 2021.

ECI 2021 will bring together:
  • researchers working in the field of fundamental and applied immunology, biomedical sciences, cell biology and chemistry
  • clinical chemists and medical immunologists working in the field of clinical diagnostics
  • clinicians working in the field of immune-mediated diseases and/or immunomodulatory therapies

ECI 2021 will be an attractive congress for researchers as well as medical specialists treating patients, as immunology has become an essential part in modern clinical medicine, diagnosis and patient care.
