Dear colleagues,
We would like to invite you to a special lecture by Prof. Robert Grosse (University of Freiburg), a leading expert in actin dynamics whose pioneering work and innovative tools have helped uncover the dynamic roles of actin within the cell nucleus.
The role of actin microfilaments in shaping cells, driving migration, and orchestrating cell division is among the best-established principles of cell biology. Yet beyond this familiar cytoplasmic cytoskeleton lies the emerging and still enigmatic world of nuclear actin, whose functions have only begun to come into focus in recent years. Nuclear actin is now recognized as an important regulator of chromatin organization, transcriptional machinery, and genome function. These discoveries challenge the oversimplified views of actin biology and raise fundamental questions about how dynamic actin structures contribute to nuclear processes.
Join us on Friday, June 19, at 10:00 a.m. in the Milan Hašek Auditorium, Institute of Molecular Genetics (IMG), for an exciting seminar on the emerging roles of nuclear actin in gene regulation and nuclear organization.
We look forward to seeing you there.
Kind regards
Libor
