E-resources
are available via
EZProxy server Library - all
links to
resources marked [fulltext, full
access] on thereinafter web pages will use
the proxy server:
Access
- authentication
- if
you are on institute,
your computer address (IP address) will be recognized automatically,
and you will
have direct access
- = authentication by a
computer IP address
- if
you are NOT using
a institute computer
(= remote
access), you need to authenticate
yourself as a valid user of e-resources in order
to connect to the
resource
- = authentication by a
username and password
- off - institute (remote) access
is restricted to internal users of the Library
Notice:
for access via proxy server there is no need to use free
resources.

Electronic
resources available from
the Library web site are licensed by the Library for non-commercial use
by authorized users.
It is important that users
read and respect Conditions of Use
and
Licensing Restrictions for
Electronic Resources before
accessing licensed e-resources through EZProxy server
- to use the Library licensed resources users must sign a User
Agreement.
Authorized
users are :
- staff
of institute -
internal users - using
licensed e-resources on
the Library computers or
using licensed
e-resources through the institute´s
network - all computers in the institute or off-institute
access (username and password)
- public
users - external users - using licensed e-resources on
the Library computers only
- other
Czech libraries - by Interlibrary lending service
(in compliance with licenses agreement, only print copies)
Conditions
of Use and
Licensing Restrictions for Electronic Resources
- The
Library subscribes to thousands of electronic
journals, books and other databases for use by authorized user .
- The
terms and conditions for using these resources are set
out in electronic resource license agreements with each publisher. It
is the responsibility of individual users to ensure that their use of
electronic resources does not breach the terms and conditions specified
in the license agreements.
- In
addition, use of
electronic resources
must be in compliance with the network rules and related standards.
- Users
can use all data acquired in this way for their own needs only and in
accordance with Law No. 121/2000 Coll. of 7 April 2000 on Copyright,
Rights Related to Copyright and on the Amendment of Certain Laws
(Copyright Act) - English version in this
site
Licenses
vary from publisher to publisher;
however, the general principles are:
Permitted
- viewing,
downloading, copying, printing and saving a copy of search results
- viewing,
downloading, copying, printing and saving individual articles
- using
e-resources for scholarly, educational or scientific research, teaching
and private study
- sending
a copy of an article to another authorized
user
- posting
the URL to the publisher's version of the article on a class
website (publisher links will allow only authorized users access)
Not Permitted
- use
of robots or intelligent agents to do systematic, bulk or automatic
downloading
- systematic
downloading or printing of entire journal issues or volumes, or large
portions of other e-resources
- using
e-resources for commercial gain (i.e. reselling, redistributing or
republishing licensed content)
- transmitting,
disseminating or otherwise making online content
available to unauthorized users (i.e. sending to mailing lists or
electronic bulletin boards)
- posting
the publisher's version or PDF of an article to an open class
website (instead, post the URL to the article which
will allow only authorized users access)
