- DBD plasma atomizers – development of dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) atomizers for atomization of hydride forming elements and volatile compounds with AAS and AFS detection. Optimization of experimental conditions and mechanistic studies of analyte atomization.
- In atomizer trapping – preconcentration of hydride forming elements (especially As, Sb, Se, Pb and Sn) in quartz tube atomizers. Development of ideal apparatus setup (trap-and-atomizer device), optimization of experimental parameters for individual elements.
- Radiotracer techniques application of radioactive indicators to qualitiative (spatial distribution by image plate autoradiography) and quantitative (estimation of efficiency of individual steps in hydride generation procedure) investigation of newly developed methods.
- Chemical vapor generation of noble metals – radiotracer study of chemical vapor generation of Ag and Au, investigation of generation efficiency and transport losses.
- Analysis of enviromental samples – determination of total mercury content and its speciation analysis in fish muscles and livers, determination of selected metal pollutants in soil and sediment, participation in project „Orlice“.
